Introduction
On 8th March 2015, ‘help my study Nepal’ organized a program ‘celebration for change’ to celebrate the international women’s day at Shivapuri Higher Secondary school.
Objectives of the program
1. To honor the existence of women and women hood.
2. To create and raise awareness about the discriminations and the rights of the women.

The program started at 12’o clock and ended at around 3:30 pm. The program was sponsored by two little children of age about 10 years. The two young sponsors were honored in the program for their contributions with the message that the age doesn’t matter if you have a heart to help other people.
Different kind of activities was done to celebrate the women hood and appreciate women like dances, songs, drama, jokes and motivational speeches during the program. The dances, dramas, songs were performed by the volunteers of the ‘HelpMyStudy Nepal’ and the students of Shivapuri Higher Secondary School as well.
The Principal of the school thanked ‘Help my study team’ for organizing a wonderful program in the school and admitted that the school hadn’t planned any program or activities for the women’s day. He said that the school usually had holiday on that day and never had conducted any sort of program for the women’s day.
The chairperson of the organization,’ Mrs. Kanchan Latta’ and the vice chairperson,’ Mrs. Basanta Parajuli’ were also present in the program. They both gave a speech and thanked the ‘help my study team’ and the students from the school for conducting the program. Mrs. Basanta Parajuli, expressed that the audience should have included parents and male students as only female students were present to see the program and said that the program was good.
Outcomes
As the program’s aim was to create awareness about the women’s rights and the status of the women, the program raised awareness about it. The audience and even the organizers came to know about the existing problems related to women and women rights such as violence against women, domestic violence and gender discriminations that usually happen in our country an n the world. The program even honored the women who have done some philanthropic deeds in their life. The program stressed that if given a chance and the opportunities, women could do great, extra ordinary things in their life.
Conclusion
The program was very entertaining and at the same time, it was very informative as well. The venue and the audience in the program were very suitable because such awareness program should be focused on the young generation as they’ll be the future leaders of our country. The young generations are easy to change as compared to the old generations.
The only flaw in the program was that there were only female students present to see the program. It is equally important for the male people to be aware about the women’s rights and the value of women as it is important for a female child to be aware about it..
